The WC-operator must oversee the safe and efficient operation per operating procedures and specifications or current work instructions for all equipment and processes in their assigned areas. Process equipment includes conveyors, packagers, film wrappers, metal detectors, scales, forklifts, sweepers, computers, hand tools, and all other tools or equipment consistent with job factors or that may be requested by supervision.
The WC-Operator must compelete or oversee recordings of the prescribled logs and data to document unit operation. The WC-Operator must be able to read and understand procedures and permits, write operating logs, perform necessary math skills, and perform necessary computer skills to maintain unit operation. Other duties include but are not limited to:Write work orders, prepare equipment for maintenace, inspect and accept the completed job. Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping to insure area safety and product quality. Be able to handle incidents of fires, spills or releases. Assist in the training of newly assigned personnel. Participate on emergency response teams as assigned. Performs all listed tasks and any/all other tasks or duties consistent with job factors as required or assigned by the WO-Operator and/or supervision. Complete an informative/proper shift change relief to ensure safe operation of the plant. Maintain open communication with the "WO" Operator, other operators, supervisors, and management.
High School Diploma required
Forklift experience & warehouse experience - 1-2 years preferred
